Apparently it will be easy to touch up and I won't have to paint the entire car like I would if I had a true candy apple red. It's basically a base/clear version of candy apple red. So after all that, the color I picked is House of Kolor's apple red. Sure I'll have it out in the dark, but when the sun hits it, it will look good. I know some of them do go maroon in the dark, but I don't plan on driving it if I know it's going to rain. After thinking about it, I realized that I really like the deep reds in the sun. So after all that I finally decided on a color. Thanks everyone for posting so many colors. I like the deeper reds, but as stated above, don't want maroon. I really like the way it looks in that picture, but when I did a search for it and found a couple other pics of what was supposed to be that color, I didn't like it as much. The September 2007 issue of Chevy High Performance has a 67 Chevelle that is done in House of Kolor's Kandy Brandy. I loved the color in the sun, but at night time it got too maroon for my liking. The last time I had the car painted, I had it done in a GM cherry red. ![]() I want to get the firewall painted so I can get all the suspension back on. ![]() So I'm getting very close to painting the firewall on my 68 Acadian (Nova) and have always been a fan of red. ![]()
